Welcome to the Franklin-Randall PTO!
ALL parents and caregivers of students attending Franklin or Randall Elementary Schools are automatically members of the Franklin-Randall Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO helps parents get engaged, involved, and in-touch with what is happening at school.
Look for the PTO’s bi-monthly newsletter in your email for updates, events, and links to our meetings. We also moderate two opt-in community forums: a Facebook page and a Google group listserv. Learn more here.
Franklin Playground Fundraising Campaign
For years, our school community has been fundraising to improve the Franklin playground through the Flash Dash and other efforts. We’re excited to share that the first phase of the playground improvements was completed in summer 2026, thanks to more than $150,000 donated by our school community, along with an additional $200,000+ from MMSD.
These improvements included regrading the entire site, adding a small track, removing outdated playground equipment, and installing much-needed sod to create more green space for kids to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors. This fall, a few swings and additional smaller pieces of playground equipment will also be added.
Looking ahead, we’ll be kicking off another major fundraising effort to help purchase additional playground equipment and add asphalt for new basketball courts. We’re excited to continue building on this progress and creating an even better space for our Franklin students and community.

The PTO makes it easy to participate in your child’s education. The PTO gets you involved with open meetings, volunteer opportunities, and a place to share your opinion about what’s happening at school. Whether you can volunteer or just want to be an informed parent, the PTO is for you!

The annual fundraiser is a vital source of support for our Franklin-Randall school community. Your contribution has a direct impact on your child’s education by funding student programs and teacher support that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.
