A Message from the Franklin Randall PTO Board President Caitlin Voegele:
On behalf of the PTO, I wanted to thank our entire community for a great year. The PTO had a lot of great accomplishments this year.
- We were able to continue our kindergarten playdates, fall costume playdate, winter movie night, Glow Ball, Super Science Sunday, and end of school ice cream social and added the Madison Children’s Museum night as a new way to connect this year.
- We launched a new parent empowerment group at the Bayview Foundation as more families moved into the newly finished construction and joined our community.
- We improved our social channels and added an active instagram (@franklinrandalpto).
- We funded 8 grants totaling around $5,000, gave nearly $20K directly to our teachers to help them with classroom needs and supplies, and increased our social justice funds to ensure all students have what they need to be successful at Franklin.
A few parting thoughts before we head off into the summer:
- Every child’s family is a part of the PTO. If you have an idea, send me an email and the PTO board would love to support you. We saw the initial years of the Future Spanish Program and Let Me Run created that way this year.
- Fall Football Parking is the financial lifeline of our PTO. We raise 70% of our PTO funds through this fundraiser. Consider donating your time to help with parking this fall.
- Franklin Playground phase 1 is planned for summer of 2026. We will be doing heavy fundraising in the fall to make sure that we can raise enough money for phase 1. If you work for a corporation that donates to this type of project or have experience with fundraising, please email Kemper Smith. We will likely need to raise an additional $100,000-$200,000 by May 2026 to break ground.
Have an amazing summer and on behalf of the whole PTO board, we look forward to connecting in the fall!
Caitlin Voegele
